We utilize professional Profoto lighting equipment, employing both strobe and continuous light sources. This allows us to modulate the atmosphere according to the session's objective: from high-contrast, dramatic chiaroscuro portraits to soft, enveloping light that minimizes skin texture. Every session is planned individually, avoiding generic formulas and adapting the workflow to the personality of the person in front of the camera, ensuring the final result aligns with their vision.

The studio workflow process

Client preparation and requirements

To obtain an optimal result, preparation is fundamental. We recommend avoiding clothing with excessively large logos or highly complex patterns that may distract the viewer's attention from the face. Neutral colors typically function best, although the final choice depends on the intended use of the image. For corporate portraits, we suggest a palette that complements the brand's visual identity.

It is important to arrive at the studio with your wardrobe ready. We provide a private dressing room (camerino) where clients can change and touch up their appearance comfortably before the session begins. We emphasize that the environment is climate-controlled to ensure comfort regardless of the Sevilla weather. What is included in the portrait session?

Each portrait service at Asterniva is structured to ensure the client receives a final product ready for professional or personal use. The following elements are included in every session:

• Full use of the studio with complete Profoto lighting control.
• Personalized posing direction throughout the entire duration of the session.
• Access to a private dressing room for wardrobe changes.
• A private online selection gallery available for a limited period.
• Advanced digital retouching of 5 photographs (including skin cleaning, color correction, and contrast adjustment).
• Delivery of high-resolution JPEG files suitable for professional printing.
• Optimized JPEG versions specifically formatted for social media and web use.

Delivery timelines and data storage

Efficiency in delivery is one of our core priorities. Once the client has completed the selection of their photographs in the online gallery, the final delivery period is 10 working days. This timeframe allows our post-production specialist, Sergio Marín Molina, to perform detailed retouching without compromising the artistic quality or the natural look of the subject.

Regarding data security and archiving, we maintain the RAW files (digital negatives) in our secure storage for a period of 6 months. After this period, the original files are permanently deleted to comply with our storage and privacy policies. Please note that the delivery of RAW files is not included in the standard price and is only provided under a separate agreement and specific contract.

What is NOT included in the service

To maintain complete transparency in our pricing, we clarify that the following items are not part of the standard portrait session:

• Professional makeup services or hair styling (these are available via external partners under a separate budget).
• Physical prints on photographic paper or framed artwork.
• Advanced retouching for more than 5 photographs (additional retouching packs can be contracted).
• Travel expenses for shoots outside our Sevilla studio.
• Copyright transfer for mass commercial use or national advertising (this is governed by the standard license detailed in our terms of service).

Pricing structure and VAT breakdown

Our prices are presented clearly, indicating the total amount with 21% VAT included and the base price for B2B clients who can deduct this tax. The final cost depends on the session's depth and the complexity of the required retouching. For B2B clients, payment terms are established at 15 days from the invoice date.
